What to Know Before You Go

Allen’s biggest community night of the year is back at Celebration Park on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 6 to 10 p.m. The H-E-B Allen USA Celebration has anchored Allen’s Independence Day weekend since 1995, and this year’s edition is simpler to attend than ever. No tickets, no registration, no RSVP. Just show up.

If you’ve never been, here’s what to expect. If you have, here’s what’s new for 2026.

The basics

  • Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
  • Time: 6 to 10 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.)
  • Location: Celebration Park, 701 N. Angel Parkway, Allen, TX 75002
  • Admission: Free, thanks to event sponsors. No ticket or RSVP needed.
  • Official site: AllenUSA.org

Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to enter the park.

The 2026 lineup

This year’s entertainment is built around two strong live acts and a skydiving show that kicks off the action.

  • 5:00 p.m. Gates open
  • 6:00 p.m. Event begins, food truck sales open
  • 6:15 p.m. Blue Skies Parachute Team skydiving show
  • 6:30 p.m. Opening band: Endless Summer, America’s Beach Boys Experience
  • 8:00 p.m. Headliner: Music City Queens, a Top 40 event and party band
  • 9:30 p.m. Fireworks finale, sponsored by Smoothie King Allen
  • 9:30 p.m. Food truck sales end

The fireworks display has been one of the largest in North Texas since 1995. If you’ve ever wondered why people drive in from neighboring cities for this one, that’s the answer.

Parking and how to get there

Free shuttles run from Allen High School starting at 5 p.m. This is the recommended way to arrive. Driving to Celebration Park during peak hours means traffic, limited parking, and a long walk to the gates.

Additional remote parking is available at Story Elementary and Anderson Elementary. Limited ADA parking is on the east lot at Celebration Park.

Bikes are welcome. Designated bike parking is available on the east and west sides of the park. Bring a lock and take valuables with you.

What you can bring

Allowed:

  • Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Lawn chairs, blankets, strollers
  • Wagons and canopies (canopies must come down by 9:30 p.m. for the fireworks view, and canopies are not allowed on shuttles)
  • Small coolers
  • Bug spray, sunscreen, water

Not allowed:

  • Alcohol of any kind
  • Glass containers

Clear bags speed up security. All bags, coolers, wagons, and chairs are checked at the gate or before boarding shuttles.

Bringing the family

The park sets up a sensory area for guests who need a calmer space, which is a thoughtful touch for families with kids who get overwhelmed by crowds or fireworks noise. The kids zone, food courts, and live music start in the late afternoon, so there’s plenty to do before sundown.

Pets are discouraged because of the crowds, heat, and fireworks noise. If you do bring a dog, leash and clean-up rules apply.

Tips from people who go every year

  • Arrive early. The fireworks are the finale, not the whole event. Coming in at 8:30 means you miss most of the show.
  • Pin your meet-up spot. With tens of thousands of people on one field, “I’ll find you” doesn’t work.
  • Plan your exit before you arrive. Shuttle riders generally beat the parking lot crowd.
  • Bring ear protection for little ones. The finale is loud.
  • Stay for the full show. The fireworks finale is choreographed and runs longer than people expect.

Why it matters to Allen

The H-E-B Allen USA Celebration isn’t just a fireworks show. It’s the closest thing Allen has to a citywide reunion. Families, longtime residents, and newcomers all show up on the same field for the same night. That’s harder to come by than it used to be.

The event has earned its reputation through consistency. Same weekend, same park, same scale, year after year. Allen’s Parks and Recreation Department, currently a 2026 National Recreation and Park Association Gold Medal Award national finalist, runs the celebration alongside title sponsor H-E-B, Credit Union of Texas, Smoothie King Allen, NETSCOUT, and a long list of other sponsors.
